California Bankers Association - 2025 Annual Conference & Directors Forum

Mike Blanchard, CEO at Blanchard Consulting Group, will present at the California Bankers Association Annual Conference on How to Motivate and Retain Key Officers and Employees Outside of Salary and Cash Incentives. This session focuses on compensation and benefits offered to key officers and employees other than salary and cash bonuses. We start by exploring the typical long-term incentives and benefits offered to key officers that include such items as stock grants, phantom stock, deferred compensation and supplemental retirement plans. Next, we discuss traditional employee benefits such as PTO, 401(k) plans, medical insurance, and life insurance. Finally, we review non-traditional benefits that are being provided such as working from home, work environment, and new benefits such as mental health assistance and pet insurance, etc. The goal is to summarize compensation and benefits outside of salaries and annual cash bonuses/incentives that help banks keep their best people.
